School Complex No. 1 in Rzeszow is a school composed of the Secondary School and the Technical School of Construction.
Rzeszów is located in the Subcarpathia Province. The school has experience in general, technical and vocational education,enjoying the trust of students and parents as well. It has well-trained and constantly evolving teachers and administration staff.
Upper Secondary School Complex is not only a place where knowledge is acquired but one that offers various extra-curricular classes, for example: mechatronics, ornithology or managerial and coaching skills. We implement new innovative and effective forms of teaching by organizing scientific seminars, symposiums and many more.Our pride is the Girls Brass Orchestra participating in concerts and festivals in Poland and other European countries for many years. We systematically cooperate with the universities of the region to guide and support the career path of our students.
The school also gives an opportunity for talented young people in preparing and organising for various competitions and contests, such as: sports, linguistic, scientific and artistic. It is a unit permanently cooperating with Hospice for children to promote the idea of volunteering. We have entrepreneurship workshops, we invite representatives of successful companies, our students are entitled to have a voluntary trainee period in some of construction companies e.g. cooperate with companies at local level. Our students participate in a contest organised by National Bank annually. Workshops "Safety at work"work organised by State Labor Inspection Participating in Vet Erasmus+ projects i.e.
We organise international trainee sessions for technical students in companies in Spain and Germany. We also applied with KA 2 229 project with 4 other schools with the topic of entrepreneurship. We use eTwinning platform for searching new partners We cooperate with INPRO youth organisation from Rzeszów. volunteers from EU who deliver speeches in schools and recently started social entrepreneurship, so offer some advice for us as beginners.
Upper Secondary School Complex No. 1 has already had some experience in the implementation of projects related to the organising of internships and training abroad for both students and professionals. We have implemented a VET mobility with Germany in POWER VET programme and our teachers took part in the past in Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci and Lifelong Learning programme.Our teachers use various Erasmus+ international contact seminars as well as e-twinning to establish new partnerships.
We firmly believe that cooperation through partnership projects and mobilities is the answer to the growing needs of our students and teachers, in order to broaden their horizons, cooperate with fellow students/ teachers from other countries, cultivate their European identity and make the didactic process more attractive and efficient.Key people Anna Morawiec-Suslo, project coordinator.
